Pallets provide excellent support and make it easy to pick up and transport large quantities of goods. They are often used for grocery, retail, and military purposes, but can also be used in automotive, chemical, and telecommunication industries. The most common pallet material is hard wood because of its ability to hold over a ton in weight. Hard wood is also economically and ecologically friendly because it is often able to be recycled. If you are interested, take a look at Buy pallets.

New pallets are just that, brand new never been used before. These provide a higher guarantee that they will last and get the job done, but they are also more expensive than recycled pallets. Recycled pallets are supposed to go through an entire repair process to make them similarly strong and durable as new pallets. If a manufacturer follows national standards in the repair process, the pallets are often as strong and durable as new pallets, with a smaller price tag. One of a consumer's largest fears when hearing the words recycled, repaired, or refurbished is quality. Will the repaired product be reliable and last long, or will they break after a couple of uses? This is dependent entirely on the company you buy from. There are a large number of companies that sell a variety of recycled pallets, it requires some research to determine if the company you want to use has a reliable history and follows standards when preparing their pallets for resale. When searching for recycled pallets its best to look into hard wood, or plastic pallets since soft wood and paper pallets are often low quality pallets to begin with and will not last as long, providing little economic advantage. An important part of wooden pallet manufacture and repair is the heat treatment that they should go through. Proper heat treatment heats the wood to a temperature of 133 degrees Fahrenheit. It then leaves the wood at this temperature for a minimum of thirty minutes. This kills all plant diseases and pest that may be in wood. It is also required by the International Plant Protection Convention (IPPC) for any pallet that is shipped across national borders.  For more info, visit this link.
