The Consumer Product Safety Commission, along with Customs and Border Protection, do a pretty admirable job of barring possibly dangerous items from entering the United States.  They have just announced the results of their efforts for 2012.  More than two million toys were prevented from coming into the country thanks to the work of those agencies.  This helped ensure that hordes of children across the country were protected from toys that present hazards.

The agencies are also trying to get the word out about dangers that are presented by those toys that do make it into the country.  Choking threats are still readily apparent with many items, and some small magnets are being looked upon as particularly dangerous in the modern day.  To learn more, check out the link
